Published Tuesday October 26 2010

In her intervention at the Council, the Permanent Representative underlined the importance of enhanced efforts, including by Member States, to achieve the full implementation of resolution 1325, the first resolution by the Security Council that specifically deals with the impact of war on women and with their role in the search for peace.
The Ambassador welcomed the decision by the Council to recommend to take forward the indicators developed by the Secretary General and encouraged all stakeholders to rapidly operationalize them.
