Prevention and fight against genocide: adoption of resolution 2150 (2014)

At a briefing held under the item of threats to international peace and security, the Security Council unanimously adopted resolution 2150 (2014) on the prevention and the fight against genocide. The Council was briefed by Deputy Secretary-General Jan Eliasson and Ambassador Colin Keating, Special Envoy of the Prime Minister of New Zealand, who was President of the Security Council in April 1994 during the genocide in Rwanda.
