At @UNICEF Executive Board Annual Session, Luxembourg reaffirmed strong support for UNICEF on behalf of the 70 members of the Group of Friends of Children and the SDGs In UN80 and UNICEF at 80 context, one principle is clear for us: a stronger UN must be stronger for children
Core group members 🇧🇬🇸🇻🇯🇲🇰🇪🇱🇺🇻🇳 marked #InternationalDayofPlay, 11 June, with a high-level event and screening of the ⚽️World Cup match 🇲🇽🇿🇦 on the @UN lawn, bringing children together to play and watch. Play is vital for development. It is not a luxury, but a fundamental right!
At #COSP19 side event on the eve of the International Day of Play, Luxembourg stressed that play is where inclusion begins. Denying children play denies learning, connection & belonging. Removing barriers to inclusive play advances the rights and participation of all children ⛹️♀️
